Essential Retirement Conference
26 April 2007
At the EFA conference, delegates heard from an exciting line up of academics, lawyers and employers who tackled the subject of managing without a retirement age - one of the most significant issues facing employers today.
With employers from all sectors we enjoyed a lively debate. The workshops discussed current and planned retirement policies and identified both good practice and challenges. Recommendations will be published in our Essential Retirement guide.
The EFA would like to thank Centrica, Department for Transport and Lehman Brothers for their sponsorship of 'The essential retirement conference'.

Open University
"Very informative in understanding other employer issues"
Bedfordshire County Council
"Inspirational to hear organisations that have pushed forward the boundaries"
"I commend the EFA staff for the way they actively encourage people to network and for the helpful way staff introduce people to other members. Other organisations put 'networking' on the agenda but do little to facilitate this!"
