Description:
The competition for talent has never been stronger and the demographic shift means there are fewer younger people coming into the workforce. A major challenge for employers is getting young people on board and keeping them engaged and motivated. According to one recent report by the Association of Graduate Recruiters, many bosses are seeking graduates from overseas, whom they believe have a stronger work ethic. Other reports predict that employers' views about young people, coupled with their fears around the current credit crunch, mean that Generation Y will be the first to feel the recruitment pinch.
Even employers who do have a healthy mix of age diversity in their workforce admit they do not always make the most of their young talent,
feeling that this generation speak a different language and make demands they can't meet.
But how do employers engage with this generation and harness their talents? Come and debate the latest thinking on how to reach young people and learn from other members and experts on the approach they are taking to reward, development and engagement for this group.
This is an ideal opportunity to up-date your knowledge and thinking in this important issue.
