With the abolition of the Default Retirement Age employers will in future be able to operate a retirement age for employees only if it is capable of objective justification, meaning that it is a proportionate means of achieving a legitimate aim. We are interested to know the extent to which employers are planning to continue to use a retirement age in the future.
