Attitude Not Age
Attitude not Age reveals that there are four different types of worker whose responses to questions about work, working for longer, expectation of retirement and pension provision vary. By understanding what motivates people at work, employers can not only improve people's working lives but may also be able to influence people's retirement decisions. This report suggests the current 'one-size-fits-all' approach, to tackle working for longer and retirement, is ineffective.

Defining Ageism
In order to better understand ageist attitudes the EFA presented a range of scenarios to over a thousand people to establish tolerance levels over pay, management styles and team fit. Respondents were split down the middle on all the critical issues, highlighting the difficulty employers will face in tackling ageism.
